Kailash Yatra: Kailash is the abode of Lord Shiva. The puranas have multiple references to the devas and rishis visiting Kailash. From the Pandavas in Mahabharatha, to eminent saints like Adi Shankara, everyone has considered the Kailash yatra as the ultimate pilgrimage.

Mt. Kailash and Lake Mansarovar are located in the Himalayas in Tibet, China. The Kailash yatra is physically challenging due to the inhospitable terrain and expensive due to the high permit charges payable to Tibet and China authorities. Shankar Treks has extensive experience in organizing the Kailash Yatra over the past many years.

 

MUKTINATH YATRA

MUKTINATH YATRA is one of 108 Divya Deshams of Lord Vishnu. Here the Lord is in the form of Saligrama present in Gandaki river. At Muktinath temple, Gandaki river splits into 108 streams issuing out of Gomukhas. The river is considered one of the Shakthi Peetams. Muktinath tour includes visit to Manokamana Temple.

Date	Kailash  Yatra by Flight & Helicopter
Day 1	We take  morning flight from Bangalore / hometown and reach  Lucknow by 1 pm. We proceed by road to Nepalganj (200 kms). During dinner (8 pm)  a  Tour briefing will be conducted.  Night stay at Nepalganj.
Day 2	Early morning transfer to Nepalganj airport for your flight to Simikot (55 mins). We then travel to Hilsa by Helicopter ( 25 mins).  Night stay in Hilsa (12,000 ft).
Day 3	After all group members reach Hilsa we cross the Suspension Bridge over Karnali river to enter Tibet and drive to Taklakot (27 kms). We Complete China Immigration  and stay overnight at Taklakot. (13200 ft).
Day 4	Entire day is free for acclimatization.  You can purchase any missing items in your yatra packing list.
Day 5	We travel by highway from Taklakot to Manasarovar via Rakshastal Lake (88 kms). We reach Chiu Gompa (14,500 ft) and start Manasarovar Parikrama by bus. We take holy bath  near Tru-Gompa followed by lunch. We return to Chiu Gompa.  Night Stay in Dormitory Rooms. View Divine Lights in Manasarovar.
Day 6	Perform Puja in Manasarovar and proceed to Darchen. Night stay in Darchen (15,500 ft )
Day 7	Visit Yamadwar and offer prayers.  Start Parikrama and reach Dirapuk (15 kms) View North Face of Kailash.  Night Stay in Dirapuk (16,300 ft)
Day 8	Cross Dolma La Pass; (18600 ft)  have darshan of Gowri Kund and reach Zuthulpuk(15,600 ft)  (Total distance  : 22 kms)  Night Stay in Zuthulpuk
Day 9	Complete Parikrama (10 kms) and reach Darchen and onward to Taklakot by noon. After China immigration reach Hilsa & travel by helicoptor to Simikot (9,800 ft) for night stay
Day 10	Early morning fly to Nepalgunj by plane. Time permitting we proceed to Lucknow by road. Night stay at Lucknow / Nepalganj.  ( Muktinath Yatris  will fly  to Kathmandu)
Day 11	Proceed to Bangalore / hometown by flight.
Note	Tour Itinerary may change based on Weather, Health Conditions of Yatris and restrictions imposed by Chinese Authorities.  Shankar Treks will  make all efforts to maintain the tour schedule and complete all the Important aspects of the yatra.

Date	Kailash Yatra by AC Bus from Kathmandu via Kyirong
Day 1	We arrive in Kathmandu airport.   In the evening we visit Pashupathinath temple. Night stay Kathmandu
Day 2	We proceed by road to Syabrubesi (145 km and 8 hours).  Night stay Syabubresi  (5,200 ft).
Day 3	After breakfast we reach China border in Rasuwagadhi  and complete immigration and customs.  We then travel to Kyirong County and reach our guesthouse. Night stay Kyirong County (13,800 ft)
Day 4	Entire day is rest for acclimatization
Day 5	Travel to Paryang (300 kms and 8 hours) with lunch en-route at Saga. Night stay at Hotel Xi Xia Pangma,  Paryang  in dormitory rooms.
Day 6	Travel to Horchu (240 kms and 8 hours) and arrive at Manasarovar Welcome Station.  Exchange vehicles and start Manasarovar parikrama by bus.  We take holy bath  near Tru-Gompa followed by lunch. We reach Chiu Gompa.  Night Stay in Dormitory Rooms. View Divine Lights in Manasarovar.
Day 7	Perform Puja in Manasarovar and proceed to Darchen. Night stay in Darchen (15,500 ft )

Day 12	Travel by road to Kathmandu.
Day 13	Early morning we visit Jala Narayana temple.  After lunch departure to India

Day 1	Arrival in Kathmandu. Visit Pashupathinath temple in the evening. Night stay at Kathmandu.
Day 2	After breakfast travel to Pokhara by bus. Enroute visit Manokamana. Travel by cable car for darshan of Manokamana Devi. Night stay Pokhara.
Day 3	Travel by flight to Johmsom and then by Jeep to Muktinath temple. Take bath in 108 Gandaki streams, complete darshan and puja at Muktinath temple and return to Johmsom.
Day 4	Buffer Day in program. Stay in Pokhara.
Day 5	After breakfast fly to Pokhara. Complete Pokhara sightseeing and boating trips in Fewa Lake and proceed to Kathmandu. Night stay Kathmandu.
Day 6	Departure to India / Nepalganj as applicable.
Price	Muktinath Yatra Rs 31,900 (when combined with Kailash yatra)

Stay in Pokhara in Luxury Hotels in Twin sharing basis with all meals. Flight charges for Pokhara to Johmsom and back. Flight charges from Nepalganj to Kathmandu (or reverse) for Kailash Yatris. Boating in Fewa Lake and Pokhara sightseeing. Visit to Manokamana temple and Cable Car trips. Return journey by luxury bus for Kathmandu to Pokhara.

Refund Policy

One Month before yatra Start Date - Full Refund Within One month : Rs 25,000 deducted towards Tibet Permit and Visa Cancellation. Flight Tickets to Lucknow / Kathmandu - Cancellation and refunds based on actual.
